Empathetic to the needs of her clients, Nilanka is an expert at putting creative ideas into action. She has experience working in national class actions law firms and specialist employment law practices. Her predominant practice is in employment law and industrial relations. Nilanka is a founding member of Adero and has been a key part of our team since the birth of our class actions practice. She founded our Melbourne office and continues to manage our practice in Melbourne.
Nilanka was motivated to enter legal practice by the opportunity to drive social change and she sees class actions in the employment space as a vehicle for achieving social change. Having always been a strong academic achiever, Nilanka is currently writing a thesis on the significance of collective bargaining and neo-liberalism.
Nilanka is an integral part of Adero Law and is currently overseeing a team of young professionals whilst leading our class actions involving direct sales workers and professionals.
